About the event
Timing:
- 7:30 AM: Event Site Opens to all participants. Check in by using the St. Jude Walk/Run App, please make sure you download the App. If you prefer, you can stop by the Participant Check-In table to check in.
- 8:00 AM: Pre-Event Announcements
- 8:15 AM: Opening Ceremony Begins
- 8:45 AM: Gather participants to start (Kid Dash, 1 Mile Fun Walk)
- 9:00 AM: Start the 3.6-mile walk/run. Runners will go first, then the walkers.
- 11:30 AM: Event concludes.
Parking: Parking is ample around the park. It does not come at a cost, so please plan accordingly. Carpooling with your team members is recommended. The Park Ranger and volunteers will direct you where to park your car.
- If you need accessible (ADA) parking, please let us know in advance and we will accommodate your needs.
- Only VIP will park in the VIP area. They will receive a VIP pass from us.
What to Expect Upon Arrival: After parking, please head to Tremayne Shelter. Volunteers will be throughout the park to greet you and direct you where to go. Look for the start and finish activation to know you are in the right spot! All participants will ask to "check-in" through the St. Jude Walk/Run mobile app before entering the festival area. If you have any questions, please stop by the Participants Table.
Routes: We will offer two distances. There will be a 1-mile route and a 3.6-mile route. This is not a chipped/timed event, but you are welcome to always time yourself if you would like.
Pets: We welcome your pets, please keep them on a leash.
Strollers/Wagons: Our route is family-friendly! Please feel free to bring a stroller or wagon to ensure your whole family enjoys the day.
What to Wear: Athletic and comfortable clothing. There are few teams who will make team shirts, so feel free to get creative.
Food/Beverages: Water, fruit, granola, and more will be provided to all participants at no cost. There will be two food trucks on site that will accept cash/card payment. SNS Goodies and Kona Ice.
Event Experience: This area will have activities for everyone to enjoy. There are games for adults and children, face painter, selfie station/360 photo booth and it is all about the community, and a shared commitment to finding cures and saving children. Also, we will have local Mascots and the Bubble Bus to greet you and cheer for you at the start/finish line.
